Paul + Sally + Jacob + Zara – Story Bridge Photographer

I absolutely love photographing families with older children and these guys were a dream to hang out with at Kangaroo Point under the beautiful Story Bridge. So much love between them all – they truly enjoyed each other’s company and laughed as we strolled through the streets and onto the beautiful sandy beach beneath the Story Bridge.

I have so many favourite images from this shoot and had to share them all with you.

Christmas Mini Sessions 2018

I’m so excited to announce that I’ll be offering the most wonderful Christmas Mini Sessions this year!

Beautiful, timeless portraits of your child or children
against a very special and subtle Christmas-themed backdrop.

And what’s even more exciting is that the sessions will take place at the gorgeous children’s boutique,
Mama’s Home, in Windsor, Brisbane.

If you’ve never visited Mama’s Home then be prepared to fall in love with the most beautiful children’s clothing, homewares and gifts and what’s even lovelier is that they have just as lovely pretty things for Mums.

So what are Christmas Mini Sessions?
It’s a lovely way to have your child or children photographed against a subtle Christmas-styled backdrop.
The session is fun and relaxed and will probably take up to 20 minutes and, if your child isn’t so fond of visiting Santa Claus, it’s the perfect way to update your photos just in time for Christmas.

Spiro + Sylvia + Steven + Peter + Katie – University of Queensland

The last time I’d photographed this gorgeous family was when their eldest son, Steven, was just a little baby – too long ago! I was so excited to catch up with them now that their family had increased by two more adorable children. We spent a lovely morning together walking through the grounds of the University of Queensland – down by the lake, walking over the bridge and into the Great Court – discovering all sorts of fun things.

Here are just a small handful of some of my favourite images from their session.

It was a pleasure creating a variety of Wall Gallery Collections for this gorgeous family to consider using their favourite images from their session. I loved this grouping of 7 custom framed fine art prints finished with a simple white frame.

Nicholas – Brisbane Christening Photographer

I love photographing Christening Days – they are always filled with love and happiness. Michael and Chloe chose to have their youngest son, Nicholas Alexander, christened in the beautiful St George Greek Orthodox Church in West End, Brisbane. It was wonderful day surrounded by close friends and family who witnessed Nicholas entering the Greek Orthodox faith. The celebrations continued into the evening with a delicious dinner and dessert at Cafe 63 in Ascot. The christening cake was made with much love by Nicholas’ talented Mum, Chloe.

It was a pleasure to photograph Nicholas the week after his Christening Day in his his lovely christening outfit. He arrived relaxed and calm ready to have some classic portraits taken of him to treasure for years to come.

Sean + Karen + Zara + Sophia – Brisbane Story Bridge Photographer

Karen contacted me a year out to reserve her photo shoot. It was an especially important date that she chose as she wanted to mark her birthday with a family session and I was thrilled that she did. She arrived looking absolutely radiant with her handsome husband, Sean and two beautiful daughters, Zara and Sophia.

We went for a lovely walk under the Story Bridge, discovering pretty little nooks and then ventured down to a tiny strip of sand on the Brisbane River where the girls wrote their surname in the sand and the family had some fun together. My most favourite part was when they caught the ferry into the city to have dinner at one of the riverside restaurants to celebrate Karen’s birthday. What beautiful way to end a family session!

Rebecca + Lucy + James + Sophie – Powerhouse Family Photographer

It was a joy to hang out with this gorgeous family. Rebecca is the most beautiful mother and her three children, Lucy, James and Sophie, entertained me from start to finish. They were ready for fun from the moment we met – jumping, laughing and cartwheels galore! I had the best time with these guys!

It’s truly wonderful to see how much these children adore their mother. There was an endless supply of hugs and cuddles and I loved every minute of their session .

Brooke | Brisbane Girls Grammar School Formal

It was a beautiful afternoon. Brooke wore a magnificent one shouldered full length black gown. She was the epitome of style and elegance.
Along with her family and school friends, they celebrated with a fabulous pre-formal gathering at home then headed out to dance the night away at the Brisbane Girls Grammar Year 12 Formal.

80th Birthday Celebrations – Brisbane Extended Family Photography

Searle Brisbane Extended Family Photoshoot

What better way to celebrate an 80th birthday than to gather your children and grandchildren for an extended family photo session.

Turning 80 never looked so good!
Joan looked absolutely beautiful – fit and healthy and wonderfully happy! And most importantly, she was surrounded by her daughter and 3 sons along with their spouses and children. I’m so pleased we photographed everyone together before the birthday celebrations began where the rest of Joan’s closest friends joined her for a delicious lunch!

“With my mother-in-law’s 80th coming up and her only request being a family portrait, I knew I had to contact Leanne. I had previously seen Leanne at a function and knew she would be perfect. Leanne spoke at length over the phone planning with me how the day would unfold, various options for our gift for my mother-in-law, where we would best stand to get the correct lighting etc and also ideas on a colour scheme when we started to panic over what everyone should wear! On the day Leanne was punctual and professional and with her smile and sense of humour she was able to organise us into various group shots and individual family photos without any tears or tantrums!! Leanne was able to create for us many precious memories that day. My mother-in-law enjoyed her day and now has some wonderful photos that she proudly displays for all her visitors to see. Shane + Katrina + Kai + Zane + Joel – Wynnum Family Photography

It was a glorious afternoon to hang out with this family at Pandanus Beach in Wynnum – the perfect location for this beach loving family who love to surf and enjoy the outdoors. Katrina, described her sons to me as ‘quick witted larrikins’ and they were. They shared their best jokes with me and they had me laughing throughout the entire session.

Extended Family Session – Mermaid Beach Photographer

What an absolute pleasure it was to be asked to photograph this beautiful extended family. Three generations altogether at the Gold Coast to mark Peter’s 80th birthday with an extended family photo session. What was even lovelier was that the session was a birthday gift from some of Peter’s close family relatives who knew he would truly value these images.

We started at a nearby park to capture some more traditional group photos then made our way down to the beach where we spent the afternoon until the sun set. I loved seeing the respect and love that this family has for each other – grandparents, aunties, uncles, brothers, sisters, grandchildren and cousins – it was beautiful!

And one of my most favourite part of photographing this family was receiving a text from them with photos of the beautiful wall art that was chosen to hang in their apartment at the beach. I know they will love these every single day that they see them and be a reminder of the special family that they are a part of!
