As one of those amazing families, I just wanted to reach out to say THANK YOU for choosing ME as your photographer.
It’s been some time since I saw you last. I can imagine a lot has changed!
Kids grow up so fast, don’t they!?! One minute they’re just a squishy little bundle of joy. Then before you know it, they’re all grown up and moving out of home.
As a Mum myself with two grown adult boys, I know the feeling!
We’re often busy doing ALL THE THINGS, we sometimes forget to fully appreciate those precious milestones and moments that happen as our family grows. Moments so precious, that in years to come, you’ll wish you had more than iPhone photos.
As one of my clients recently said at their Portrait Session … “My one regret was waiting 9 years between the two family sessions. I wish I had more photos in between.”
As a photographer … this absolutely breaks my heart.
I want ALL families to have beautiful, unforgettable memories of EVERY age and stage.
Because every stage is a chapter in your family’s story and each chapter has something unique to capture.
So let’s capture your family NOW before this chapter has passed.
And as a Leanne Stamatellos VIF (Very Important Family), I’d love to invite you to be a part of this awesome Project which will culminate in a Photography Exhibition featuring a selection of Families who participate.
To be involved, book a COMPLIMENTARY Family Portrait Experience and you’ll also receive an 8×12” Fine Art Matted Print and a $100 Wall Art Credit.

The Harbison family has become a cherished part of my photographic journey, with each session marking a beautiful chapter in the tale of their family’s growth and connection. Our journey together began in 2010, capturing the spirited energy of their four young sons, Hamish, Fraser, Douglas and Campbell. The laughter and joy we captured during that session set the stage for what would become a heartwarming tradition.
Five years later, in 2015, I had the pleasure of documenting the Harbison family once again. The transformation was remarkable as their sons had grown into wonderful young men, each with a unique personality that added depth to our captures. The genuine love and warmth within the family were palpable, creating timeless photographs that spoke volumes about their bond.
Fast forward to 2020, and the Harbison family session was another celebration of love, growth, and unity. Witnessing the evolution of their family over the years has been a privilege, and I feel a deep connection to the memories we’ve created together. The four sons exemplify the strength of family ties and the enduring love of their parents.
What strikes me most about the Harbison family is their commitment to preserving these precious moments. Not only have they continued the tradition of capturing their family story every five years, but they’ve also embraced the tangible magic of printed memories. The Harbisons adorn their walls with stunning family wall art, as well as choosing to have a Storybook Album featuring all of their favourite photos from each session —a testament to the enduring value they place on these memories. It’s not just about photographs; it’s about weaving a narrative of love that transcends time, and I am honored to be part of this incredible journey with the Harbison family.
The Pierce Family has been a delightful presence in my photographic journey, with two family sessions capturing the evolution of their beautiful connections. Our first encounter in 2015 brought forth the radiant love shared between big sister Emily and her adorable twin siblings, Will and Grace. The session painted a vivid picture of familial warmth and joy, documenting the essence of their bond with their parents.
Fast forward to the present day, nine years later, and the Pierce Family embarked on another session, prompted by a significant moment in Will’s life. As he prepared to embark on a journey to Spain for a 6-month volunteering stint after completing high school, the family saw this as an opportune moment to update their cherished family photos. The dynamics had shifted, and the session became a poignant reflection of growth and change within the family.
Upon seeing the updated photographs, their Mum shared a sentiment many can relate to—wishing she had not waited so long between sessions. It’s a testament to the fleeting nature of time and the realization that capturing these moments more frequently is a precious gift. The Pierce Family’s story, told through my lens, is a beautiful narrative of love, growth, and the appreciation of the fleeting beauty of family life.
The Melville Family came to me for their first family session in 2020 when Lucy was only 18 months old and Ethan was 4. Oh the difference a few years can make!
In our first shoot, Lucy was quite timid and shy in front of the camera. But Ethan was a ball of energy! Fast forward a few years and a number of shoots later, Lucy is quite the little Miss and loves posing for the camera!
The benefit of having multiple shoots over the years, is that everyone now knows me well and are at complete ease in front of the camera. This has meant we are able to create beautiful authentic memories which now take pride of place in their home.
What’s even more special is the diversity in the sessions they’ve had – from extended family gatherings to capturing personal branding photos of Mum, Anita, and even the festive joy of Christmas Mini Sessions. The Melville Family’s commitment to capturing their journey in various facets truly reflects their appreciation for the art of photography. It’s not just about frozen moments; it’s about encapsulating the essence of their unique story.
Their decision to include extended family sessions, personal branding, and festive moments in their photographic journey underscores their recognition of the diverse roles photography plays in shaping and preserving their family narrative. It’s a testament to the value they place on these memories, making each session a celebration of their unique story and the bonds that tie them together.
It’s all about love, shared stories, and having each other’s backs no matter what. There’s this magical mix of laughter, the little inside jokes, and those moments that stick with you forever.
It’s not just a group of people; it’s a unique vibe and identity we create together. Family is where you find that constant love and connection that feels like home.
Why do I think capturing those family memories is so important?
Well, it’s like bottling up time’s magic. You freeze those bits of life that change so fast. The snapshots become a storybook, unfolding as your family journey twists and turns. Seeing the growth, sharing the experiences—it’s like having a front-row seat to your own family movie. These photos are like a roadmap, a way back to where you started. They’re the colors that fill in the canvas of your life story, ensuring no special moment fades away.
Each picture is a page turning in the book of your life, creating this timeless tale of love, growth, and connections that just keep on going.
I would be truly honored to document this special chapter in your family’s journey, creating a visual narrative that will be cherished for years to come. Your trust and the chance to be part of your story mean a lot, and I’m excited about the opportunity to capture more beautiful moments together.

Updating family photos every 1-2 years is a good practice to capture the evolving dynamics and growth within your family. But honestly, you can update your family photos whenever you like – there’s no right or wrong amount of time to wait.
Absolutely!
Family photo sessions are tailored to capture the unique dynamics and connections within your family, regardless of your children’s ages.
Not at all!
Family sessions capture genuine moments and physical affection can be adjusted based on everyone’s comfort level. There are so many ways to show the special connections you have with each other.
Absolutely!
I love it when families want to bring their pets to their session. Pets are part of the family, and including them adds a special touch to your photos. It also adds for extra fun and helps everyone to relax and let their guard down.
In Brisbane we’re blessed to have the most beautiful weather all year round. Whether you choose to have your session during our glorious warm weather months or our mild cooler months, you won’t be disappointed.
