queensberry engagement album

• leanne •

There’s something so incredibly beautiful about Queensberry albums.
I adore them and clients of mine who choose these stunning books to have their memories recorded, fall in love the minute they lay their eyes on them.
Each album is individually hand made to the highest standards and will last a lifetime.
Queensberry albums are highly respected in the industry for their attention to detail and workmanship.
I created this contemporary 12×12 inch album with a graphite leather cover and embossing for George & Rachel on their recent engagement.
They also chose to have a ‘mini replica’  7×7 inch  album printed and it was just as superb.
I am incredibly proud to offer these beautifully printed albums.

glorious

• leanne •

There’s nothing more glorious than a Brisbane winter’s day like today.
Fish and chips in the park,
a lazy afternoon watching the boys ride their bikes
and the chance to take a handful of photos.
Just one of my favourites.

Strawberry Fields

• leanne •

I can’t ever recall going strawberry picking as a child
but when a friend mentioned how much fun it would be to go as a family I couldn’t wait.
It was the most perfect and beautiful day
and the location was exquisite.
The fields were bursting with ripe red strawberries
as we set off to fill our punnets with the biggest and best ones.

The strawberry picking was by far the best part of the day for the kids
but I couldn’t help but love the incredible country side and landscape.
I managed to take a handful of updated portraits of the boys
before heading home after a truly fabulous day.

Photos of me were taken by my willing family, Manuel and Ethan – thanks always xx

simply divine

Sent from heaven above, this precious little angel is simply divine.
Welcome Cleowillow Ivy – just 10 days old today!

simon + genevieve + oliver + harry

• leanne •

I love photographing families
and this session was made even lovelier by having Oliver and Harry’s grandparents join us for the first part of the photo session.
Once we took some group shots, we slipped away and went exploring new locations,
having some fun and play time together.
I have so many favourite photos from this session.
I can’t decide which I love best – the ones of the boys being so gentle with Genevieve
or the ones with Simon being wild and crazy.
Either way, it’s a credit to Genevieve and Simon for bringing up two terrific boys.
Oliver and Harry were such a joy to photograph.
Enjoy just a handful of images from their session.

storybook album – family

• leanne •

Storybook Albums are one of the most popular items that I offer my clients.
What I love most about them is that they’re sturdy with beautiful thick pages that can be enjoyed by everyone without the fear that the pages might get damaged or bent.
They tell the story of your family, page by page, and are custom designed using
your favourite photos from the session.
It’s great to hear that these beautiful books are being left out in the lounge room to be enjoyed by everyone … every single day … and not put away in a cupboard.
They really are a very special keepsake.

2 Silver Awards – QLD APPA’s

• leanne •

Each year, the APPA’s (Australian Professional Photography Awards) are held.
Professional Photographers from Australia and New Zealand are able to submit images in varying categories to be judged by a panel of trained peers.
This year I entered for the very first time and attended the live judging for the State Awards last Sunday.
Both exciting and scary, it was such an incredible experience to watch my images come before some of the most respected photographers and judges in the industry and then listen to them score and sometimes even talk about them.
I was thrilled to be given 2 silver awards.
One in the Family category – the family’s reflection in the water – scoring 80
and
One in the Portrait category – the black and white image of Joshua – scoring 83.
The remainder of my images fell in the 71-79 range which showed good professional practice.
I’m so pleased to have been able to include these also.
I would like to thank Robyn Hills, an incredibly talented 4 times Master Photographer and Fellow of the AIPP.
She gave me so much of her time and expertise when it came to selecting which images I should submit for the awards
and also the best way to present them.
Her knowledge in this field is incredible and I learnt so much from her during this time.
Thank you Robyn!
Also, many thanks to my family and friends and also my wonderful clients who sent me good wishes and congratulations when they heard my exciting news.

Recently I had the pleasure of photographing some girls before they left for their Year 12 School Formal.
I was surrounded by an incredibly gorgeous and intelligent group.
What I enjoyed most was seeing their parents looking on at them, proudly and most likely wondering where the years had gone.
I can only imagine how this must feel.
Enjoy this handful of images!

fine art print – float mounted

• leanne •

There is nothing I love more than seeing a beautiful image in print.
Truly, a digital file just doesn’t compare to how a printed photo looks.
I especially adore Fine Art Prints.
The image is printed on archival quality paper – not traditional photo paper as you may be familiar with,
but a matt finished and sometimes textured paper – much like what artists paint on.
Here is the latest Fine Art Print that has been ‘float mounted’ on a white matt board
then framed in one of my favourite deep sided frames.
It’s going to look amazing hanging in this family’s home
and it will bring back many fond memories of their son at this precious age.

beautiful erin – school formal pre-party

• leanne •

It was a glorious day to celebrate the final year of high school for Erin – the night of her High School Formal.

She looked stunning in a beautiful, full length green gown.
Hidden underneath, were the most fabulous gold crushed glitter shoes.
And what I truly loved most was her kind and gentle nature.

Her family were so proud.
I can only imagine that they would have been reflecting on the years that have flown by.

It was a great pleasure to photograph Erin and also her partner, Jake – both looking like they’d stepped out of a fashion magazine.

Here are a handful of my favourite photos before Erin’s closest girlfriends and their partners arrived for pre-dinner drinks.
