When baby Angus was baptised, 

a very special group of friends got together and chose to give 

a family photo session as well as a disc of all the best images 

as their gift to celebrate this special day.

So, just before Angus turned one, I caught up with him and his gorgeous parents

for a session.

He is such a loved little boy and was simply adorable to photograph.

I just couldn’t resist his beautiful big eyes!

I adore miss Ava!

I’ve photographed her when she was in her mum’s tummy

and when she was born.

And now she’s a real little girl

with the most gorgeous personality!

I can’t wait to share heaps from her mini session soon.

How beautiful is this family!

I promise there will be so many more in the coming weeks.

This family have known me forever,

and it was my absolute pleasure to photograph them altogether in an extended family session.

 

Actually, I loved that they took the time to do this.

I’m a little envious and I know my family will wish that we do this some time soon too.

 

How special to have 3 generations altogether and to look back with lovely memories of the day.

And it was a great day!

 

The weather was glorious. 

The Parklands were in full bloom.

And everyone was laughing.

So most of us are familiar with the 

‘boy falls in love with girl … boy marries girl’ love story.

But this is where tradition stopped for Ryan and Marnie.

When they called me and said that they had something in mind for a photo shoot,

just weeks after returning from their Wedding Day in Perth,

I was curious to hear what they were planning.

Let’s just say that they were way braver than I’d ever be!

Paint and Scissors … yep … that was exactly what they hoped for!

And for those who want to know what happened to the bottom part of Marnie’s wedding gown,

a cushion will be made from it as a very special keepsake.

I love photographing this family.

Michelle kindly agreed to come and model with Zac and Ella for me at a recent photography workshop and they were simply fabulous!

It wasn’t the same without Dad Jason who had other plans that day,

but I’m still loving the photos anyway!

I may need to do some major photoshopping and see if we can add him in somehow …. just kidding!

This is how I spent my afternoon today.

It was certainly not a typical photo shoot for me … this one was wild and crazy!

I can’t wait to share many more photos over the coming weeks of these gorgeous newlyweds

… and yes, they are wearing their wedding outfits

… and yes, that is paint all over them!

Last weekend was the final Photography Workshop that I was teaching for 2012.

It was a glorious day and I got to spend it with 5 enthusiastic photographers.

After learning heaps of theory, then stopping for lunch,

we met up with this beautiful family who made our afternoon of photographing so lovely.

Karen is a beautiful mother!

She is kind and loving and has two of the sweetest girls around.

They were an absolute joy to photograph.
