Earlier this year, Kate, Danny and their adorable son Darcy, modelled for me at a Photography Workshop that I was teaching.

Here are some of their images from their session with me.

On a recent visit to Kate, I was thrilled to see the canvas that she had ordered for her home – the only tough decision was where to hang it.

Either above the balinese table or on the wall near the hallway?

Either way, it looks fabulous and will bring a smile to their faces each time they walk past it.

Today, as I sat inside working around the house, I realised it was too beautiful not to be outside soaking up the sun on this glorious winter’s day.

I grabbed my 5D2 along with a 50mm f1.4 lens and went for a drive to the suburb of Bulimba where I took a stroll along the boardwalk.

Just a brief moment in my day that I thoroughly enjoyed.

I think I’ll have to do this more often.

happy snaps ….. that’s exactly what they are!

snap shots that make you feel happy!

Late yesterday afternoon I went outside and lay on the grass and enjoyed the playfulness of my boys.

There was no posing, no direction.

I just sat and let them tackle and run and jump and roll – and I took happy snaps!

It was a beautiful way to spend the afternoon.

I wanted to share with you today a custom framed piece that I recently had done for a family.

It looks even more beautiful when you see it and experience the workmanship on this deep sided frame.

What I really love about this particular profile is that it is classic and timeless

and will look just as incredible when these young boys are all grown up as it does now.

Karen asked me to photograph her 40th birthday party

and I knew it would be a fabulous celebration.

She was keen to remember this night for a long time by surrounding herself with her family

and her friends, great food and drink and lots of fun!

Before the festivities got under way,

I took Karen and her handsome son, Jacob, outside for a few photographs

followed by her very close and loving family. 

Before too long the party started!

The food was non stop!

And the alcoholic slushie machine got a workout!

While friends and family appeared to be reserved when we mentioned the words ‘crazy photos’,

it took no time before they got into the swing of things!

Take a peak and have a giggle – you may even spot me in there too!

A special part of the evening was when Karen’s close friends gave their gift to her.

Her children are equally delightful and I was thrilled when she kindly brought them along to a recent workshop

that I was teaching to photograph them.

I should also add that Louise attended one of my earlier workshops and can take a pretty mean photo herself!

Our youngest son, Joshua, recently celebrated his sixth birthday party.

You’ll see the party he had with his family here – Turning SIX!

He also got to celebrate with some school friends at The Lego Education Centre.

He had a fabulous time – surrounded by a zillion pieces of Lego and making his very own vehicle that he could operate with a remote control.

The boys got to take home cupcakes topped with a white chocolate LEGO block,

as well as a Chocolate LEGO man as the lolly bag.
