Majella contacted me to photograph her and her 3 grown up children (and partners) as well as 9 year old Henry, their Golden Retriever, to celebrate her turning 60 years young! 
I was thrilled and couldn’t wait to capture the connections within this gorgeous family especially as one son was flying up from Melbourne and the other son was soon to be heading away overseas.

While all families wish for clear skies on the day of their photo session, this day turned out to be rainy!
Not just a little bit of rain but it rained so hard that it was coming down sidewards and due to the limited time that the family would be together as a whole, there was no option to reschedule.
You’d never know it in these photos that it rained ‘crazy’ that afternoon as we had the luxury to photograph on the beautiful deep verandahs of this family’s Queenslander – and the light was simply glorious!

Happy Birthday Majella – you looked fabulous as ever!

The last time I’d photographed this gorgeous family was when their eldest son, Steven, was just a little baby – too long ago!  I was so excited to catch up with them now that their family had increased by two more adorable children. We spent a lovely morning together walking through the grounds of the University of Queensland – down by the lake, walking over the bridge and into the Great Court – discovering all sorts of fun things.
