Some of you may recall a recent maternity session that I did for parents-to-be Kylie and Robert – here is the session if you want to take another look. Kylie had the most compact little baby belly and looked radiant.
Just 11 days ago, baby Ava Mae arrived safely weighing in at a delicate 5lb 12oz and 47cm long. I couldn’t wait to take some photos of her – she was a doll with the most beautiful head of hair and the most delicate features!
.
Robert is one incredibly proud father … I love that!
And for those of you taking a closer look at Miss Ava … yes she’s laughing – can you believe it!
– big brother Bruce with Ava – don’t they look adorable together!
I may be a little biased though – after all, Robert and I are first cousins.
Congratulations again on such a lovely addition to the family.
a beautiful extended family
When Annie contacted me about having an extended family session done as a surprise for her Mum who was turning 70 years old, I was really excited. Not just because I love the idea of a sentimental gift like photography but because Annie is one of 5 siblings and 2 of them were coming from afar to be there for the session and for their Mum. Louise and her husband, Mark, and their 2 children came all the way from England and Liz travelled from Cairns.
.
I was a little nervous about the crazy weather we had been having but was so pleased when the day turned out to be sunny and gorgeous.
Take a look at this beautiful extended family of 9 adults and 10 children. What a great way to grow up being surrounded by so many aunties and uncles and cousins.
The best part was that everyone was heading off for a 3 day holiday to the Hyatt Coolum as part of the birthday festivities!
What a beautiful way to celebrate your 70th birthday – being surrounded by your children and grandchildren who love you so much.

I had my fingers crossed all day that this family’s session would go ahead.
We had postponed the first session a couple of weeks ago due to crazy wet weather but thankfully the afternoon turned out great.
.
Kate and Darren are great parents – cool, calm and collected – and it showed in their children.
They were an absolute delight to photograph and were full of their own ideas on locations and things to do. Even 2 year old Liam, shot several frames using my camera, showing me a few radical techniques!
.
Darren and Kate, I hope you enjoy your sneak peek – it was lovely to meet you and I can’t wait for you to see all the other photos that are heading your way.

Remember William?
I photographed him last year when he was just a baby – wasn’t he the cutest!
.
When his mum, Simone contacted me to catch up and take some photos for their
Christmas card this year, I couldn’t believe how much he’d grown.
William is adorable … and even though Simone assured me that he is usually a little monkey, there were no signs of it on the day – he was 100% charming!
Take a look at this beautiful family!
This is William now!
I can’t wait to see which photos you choose for your Christmas Cards -there are so many favourites from this session.
Look forward to speaking with you guys soon and I hope you enjoyed the sneak peek!

I met this lovely family last weekend on the most glorious Sunday morning. It was such a welcomed change from the rainy weekend before when we had originally scheduled the session and had to postpone in.
.
Jillian and Paul have three of the loveliest and well behaved children. They were an absolute delight to photograph – so happy and playful. I hope you enjoy some of my favourite photos from the session !
.
Meet beautiful Eloise !
and her handsome younger brother, Isaac!
and the newest addition to the family, 8 month old baby Thomas.
Look at those big blue eyes!
Aren’t these children the sweetest!
.
I especially loved this photo in black and white.
These teddy bears were special gifts from Jillian’s parents
– one for each of the children and beautifully soft. You don’t want to know what we were all doing to get this shot !
And one of may favourites from the day … the very last photo of this loving family.
Thank you for asking me to photograph your family, Jillian and Paul. They were an absolute delight and I’m looking forward to sending
you through your images
soon.

OK, I need to warn you before you see these photos … Get Ready for some serious cuteness!
.
Saturday afternoon was a wild and windy afternoon and we almost rescheduled the session.
I am so glad we didn’t – I absolutely love the photos of Steven and his parents, Spiro and Sylvia.
They adore him and it shows … I love that!
.
I chose just a small handful of my favourite photos to share as a sneak peek.
‘Almost 1 year old’ Spiro was an absolute dream to photograph
and there are just so many I could have chosen.
.
Here goes … you’ll be smiling from ear to ear!
Stevie’s Godparents bought him this adorable sailor suit for his Christening Day so it only seemed right to get some photos on the sand near the water.
This is my favourite series ….
Stevie’s reaction as he felt the sand for the very first time in his life!
.
Thanks to all of Spiro and Sylvia’s friends who bought this session and package as a gift for Steven for his Christening Gift – it was such a thoughtful gift to give!

I just love Angus and Millie.
I’ve photographed these two quite a few times and I always have the best fun with them.
Not only are they gorgeous but they have real spunk and definately keep me on my toes.
.
When Fleur, asked me to photograph them for this year’s Xmas family card, I was so keen to do their session at the beach while they were holidaying a couple of weeks ago. I was over the moon when the local lifeguard said the kids could climb up for some pics in the lifeguard tower – how cool was that!
.
Take a look at just a handful of some of my favourite photos from this Beach Session.
I’m currently accepting Beach Sessions for january 2011 so if you’re interested, then drop me an email to reserve your session.
.
And of course, it would have been no fun at all if they weren’t allowed to jump into the surf ‘clothes and all’ at the end of the session ! Thanks Angus and Millie for a great afternoon.
I’d love to hear which images are your favorites – it might help make the decision easier about which photos will make the final cut onto the 2010 Xmas Card!
robert + kylie
It’s not often that I get a chance to photograph a Maternity session, so when Kylie and Robert asked me several months ago, I was really excited. This is their first baby, besides adorable Bruce who is their 18 month old puppy.
.
It’s only a few weeks now before their very precious baby comes into this world and will change their lives forever, in the best way possible. Robert and Kylie, you’re going to make great parents !
.
Here are just a few photos from your session – Kylie you look amazing !
.
rocco + bella
How quickly do our babies grow into little people and too often we don’t take the time to get some special photos of them at the newborn stage. I was so happy when I was asked to photograph baby Rocco, aged 5-6 weeks, along with his beautiful big sister, Bella, aged 2 years.
.
As promised, here are some of my favourite photos.
.
Brisbane Tourists for a day
Last Friday I had the pleasure of catching up with Vicki, a wonderful Wedding Photographer from Yamba. We had met earlier this year briefly at a Photographic Workshop in Sydney. When Vicki mentioned she was coming to Brisbane with her family, it was a great opportunity to take my boys out with her girls and our cameras for some sight seeing and photos.
.
For those who’ve never been to Brisbane ….
We caught the City Cat and headed to Southbank .
Aren’t Chelsea and Maddison gorgeous!
My boys had a ball with the girls – they tried to be as cool as they were!
And while Maddison was dancing with Joshua …..
Joshua being Joshua !
What else can you ask for?
We hope to catch up with you all again soon.
