sandy + stephen’s wedding – part 1

• leanne •

I had the great pleasure of photographing Sandy and Stephen’s Wedding Day last week.
It was a great day for them – surrounded by their family and friends – and I was thrilled to be able to capture some images for this wonderful couple.
–

–
Due to a late afternoon wedding, Sandy and Stephen decided to go ahead with my suggestion of a First Look – something that seems to be really catching on here in Brisbane. It’s where the Bride and Groom meet before the Ceremony to have their photos taken. It’s a great opportunity to calm the nerves by seeing each other and taking some real time to have some special photos taken before you walk down the isle. Sandy and Stephen loved the idea and were quick to suggest a favourite location to have their photos taken.
–
Thank you to my good friend, Rachel Richter, who photographed with me on the day and captured the moments when Stephen saw Sandy for the first time – I love this series so much.
After that we took some time to capture them alone and with their gorgeous family.

I told you they were a gorgeous family!

Then out of the cool breeze and inside for a few more photos and a well deserved drink.

There will be more photos to come over the following week so feel free to come back to see the most adorable Chapel that they were married in.

sandy + stephen – sneak peek

When Sandy asked me to photograph her Wedding Day I was so excited. You see both our boys go to school together and have been in the same class for 2 years running. Stephen and Sandy are so well suited – both of them are warm and kind and genuinely wonderful.
–
The Wedding took place on Friday last weekend and there are plenty of photos
to share but while I’m sorting through them all,
I wanted to post a quick sneak peek from the day.

100 pages of USA !

• leanne •

I’m so excited that the photo album I have been working on is finally finished. After my trip to America earlier this year, I decided to choose my favourite photos and compile a massive 100 page album using one of the leading Album companies that I saw at the WPPI conference in Las Vegas. It’s been a huge task sorting through thousands of photos but I’m really looking forward to getting the album in the next few weeks.
–

In the meantime, if you’d like to look at an online version of my Photo Album just click on the link below. I’ll be sure to share photos of the real thing once it arrives.

Busy Weekend

• leanne •

It’s been a busy weekend photographing a beautiful wedding as well as a dozen or so of the most gorgeous Year 12 girls at a celebration before they head out to their School Formal.
–
I’m looking forward to sharing these photos with you but in the meantime here is a little look at an image that I took that I adore. Hamish and Tommy are brothers and they are just the sweetest!
–
I’ll be sure to have more soon.

Farewell June!

• leanne •

June has been a busy month and has gone by so quickly.
Besides being sick for a couple of weeks with an aweful virus, I have been busy filling orders for clients and can’t wait to see some beautiful canvases arriving in the coming weeks
along with some stunning albums as well.
Speaking of albums, I have been working on a mammoth task of completing my own album with images taken from our holiday to America that we took in March this year.
It is almost finished and will be a beautiful 12×12 inch photo book with 100 pages inside and over 400 images from our trip. I thought I would share the first page with you now and I can’t wait to share more when it’s all done and printed.

Thank you to everyone who knew I was unwell and sent me good wishes
– I am definately back in action
and look forward to some fantastic sessions and a very special wedding to photograph in July.

A gorgeous wedding!

• leanne •

I had the pleasure of being asked by Rachel Richter to assist photographing the Wedding of Michael and Nicole last weekend. They were a great couple and I absolutely loved the Scottish influence. It was held at Dayboro at a gorgeous location, Glengariff Estate. It was so picturesque.

Take a look over here if you’d like to see some of the photos that were taken. Some of mine are in there along with Rachel’s images. And as always, we had a wonderful time. If you like what you see, pop back here and let me know !

Canvas delivery

• leanne •

Last week I had a canvas delivered with an image taken from Frankie’s session.
I couldn’t help but take a photo to share – it was a lovely 20×30 inch canvas and Frankie looked larger than life. I almost couldn’t part with it.

debra + jim’s wedding

• leanne •

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding with my dear friend, Rachel Richter. When Rachel asked if I’d like to be her second shooter I jumped at the chance.

Debra and Jim had a beautiful wedding out in the country and the scenery didn’t disappoint – nor did the gorgeous bride and groom and bridal party.

It was even more fun that I knew the matron of honour, Mandy, who looked stunning.

If you’d like to see some of the photos taken on this lovely day, then go take a look here

and see if you can figure out which photos are mine.
Even I had a hard time remembering which ones I took.

Looking forward to photographing more weddings this year!

peter + paula + phillip + frankie

• leanne •

When Paula asked me to take some photos of her family and newest addition, 4 month old Frankie, I knew it would be a lovely session.
Paula had the boys dressed beautifully – timeless and classic – and while, at times, both Peter and Paula may have thought we wouldn’t get any good shots, I’m pleased to say that both Frankie and Phillip were star performers.
Thanks for asking me to capture some photos for you.
I hope you love these small handful of images as much as I do.
Meet Frankie!

And his big brother, Phillip.

simon + sally + hamish + fraser + dougal + campbell

• leanne •

There was a time when I thought I may never photograph this family.

We rescheduled 4 times due to heavy rain but finally we were blessed with a fantastic afternoon at a great location that Sally had chosen.
Simon, Sally and their beautiful boys, Hamish, Fraser, Dougal and Campbell were such a lovely family. The boys were so much fun and had some seriously good manners. To top it off, they were styled perfectly even down to the one clothing change we had towards the end of the session – gorgeous, red monogrammed t-shirts that Santa had given them at Christmas time.

Take a look at some of my favourite photos from the session.

This is my favourite – the boys look like they’re straight out of a magazine!

Love their cool moves.
