There’s something so very special about having photos taken in your home with your newborn baby. Always being able to show your child where they first lived, their bedroom, their cot and the place they were loved so much when they were just a little baby.

It was a joy to see Jonathan and Jemma with their first born, baby Kristina and document this precious time in her life and in theirs.

I loved catching up with this family to update their photos. It had been 6 years since their last session and I still can’t believe how much the boys had grown since then – Click HERE.

They decide to have me photograph them in their backyard … and I loved it! Boys being boys – just hanging out, throwing darts and jumping on the trampoline.

What better way to spend a glorious afternoon than with your family climbing the rocks, looking for shells and getting your feet all sandy and wet.

These guys were so relaxed and really enjoyed hanging out with each other. They share a very special and close bond and I loved being able to photograph their connections with each other. Enjoy this handful of photos from their session – just some of my favourites.

I spent a gorgeous afternoon with this family climbing the biggest, blackest rocks, collecting shells and wetting our feet in the ocean. They laughed and cuddled and simply enjoyed hanging out together.

Coming from Canada, this family have been living in Brisbane for a couple of years now and chose this location as it was a favourite of theirs and wanted to remember it always. I absolutely love their entire session!

Gotta love this family – spunky, fun, good looking and just so, so cool!

I really enjoyed photographing these guys. We got to hang out together and tell bad jokes (well, mine were bad) then play hand ball and check out some Lego. What else would you want to do during your family session, right?

Gabrielle is a beautiful, kind and gorgeous woman with two of the most wonderful children ever! I loved photographing their very special connection and we had lots of fun hanging out together, laughing and getting our feet all sandy.

I photographed this beautiful family earlier this year and time just got away. Before I knew it they were expecting their 3rd baby and beautiful Eloise arrived in mid-October. She’s an absolute doll and I loved photographing her when she was just a couple of weeks old.

Anyway, before miss Eloise arrived on the scene, I had a great afternoon with these guys – skateboarding, hanging out, climbing rocks and even throwing the footy! Nick + Chrisanne + Laura + Ellie | Kythera Family Photographer

My husband’s grandparents (on his Mum’s side) were born and lived in Kythera – an island of Greece. In July this year, we chose to visit Kythera along with approximately 100 other Brisbane friends to celebrate a 50th birthday. It was the most memorable week long experience.

I was thrilled when I was asked to photograph 6 families while I was over there – many of who had connections to the island. I was so happy when this Brisbane family contacted me and asked if I would do a family session with them at a couple of their favourite villages – starting at HORA, the capital of Kythera and then AVLEMONA. We had so much fun together, walking the pretty narrow streets and taking in the sensational views. I loved photographing them and the very special bond they have with each other.

If you’ve never been to Kythera before, put it on your bucket list – it’s something really special.
