It may have been a wet day but the weather didn’t spoil this very special occasion for little miss Emerson. The christening ceremony was held in the Greek Orthodox church of the Dormition of our Lady at Mt Gravatt and was fortunate to have both Father Nicholas and Father Romanos Stergio, who came from the Greek Orthodox church of St Anna on the Gold Coast, to perform the beautiful ceremony. She was surrounded by her closest family and friends who watched as she entered the Greek faith with her loving godmother, Ali, by her side.
Following the ceremony, a celebratory lunch was held at Billykart Kitchen, in Annerley, where Chef Ben O’Donoghue and his amazing team served up a selection of superb meals.
Enjoy this selection of some of my favourite images from Emerson’s Christening Day.
I loved catching up with Emerson a few days after her Christening Day. During her mini-session I was able to photograph her in the beautiful Christening gown that was created by the very talented, Kerry Xynias, who also made Emerson’s mum’s wedding dress – how special is that! Emerson is such a joyful, little girl – I’m in love with her and her crazy, fun loving personality. She had me in stitches laughing with her many expressions – I’m told that they are all taught by her amazing Dad – go Ben!
